The Coral Coast traditional day tour -
exclusive to village homestay guests

The main road from Namatakula to Koro Levu winds along the Coral Coast's beautiful coastline taking you past some well known hotels like the Warwick, Naviti and Hideaway resort.

About 45 minutes from Namatakula you arrive at a small village on a weatherbeaten track... this village provides the only access to the Coral Coast's Savunamatelaya Waterfalls... a perfect spot for a bit of swimming in a fresh flowing (and cold) Fijian river. Above you rises the waterfall - some 20 metres high in a stunningly beautiful location. (Note you will need to take F$10 per person for access to the waterfalls - this is paid directly to the village on who's land the water fall lies). The twenty minute walk to the waterfall from the village through some thick forest and alongside a beautiful winding stream is an experience in itself!

After a couple of hours at the waterfall Simon takes you further down the Coral Coast to Baravi Handicrafts, famous on the Coral Coast. This is where you can buy Fijian handicrafts at a fraction of the prices paid at the resorts and hotels. Enjoy a browse here but don't buy their over priced golden cowries... ask Simon where to go in the same village to haggle for these rare shells (don't pay more than F$150)!

Next you go to the village of Naroro for lunch - home of the world famous Tavuni Hill. At Naroro you will meet another of our hosts, Sireli, who will then organise a tour of Tavuni Hill as part of this exciting package.

After your tour Simon takes you to the Fijian town of Sigatoka - on the banks of the sprawling Sigatoka River. Here you can shop before being taken to the village of Lawai where you can watch a demonstration of traditional Fijian pottery making, dancing and singing before returning to a fantastic home to freshen up and enjoy another fantastic dinner at the Batibasaga's home.

It is important that you give your hosts at Namatakula 24 hours notice for this activity as they need to contact Sireli at Sigatoka.

Cost per person just F$60 - with a minimum cost of F$100 (eg for one person) - this excludes the entry fee to the waterfalls
