Here we are in 2006 - FijiBure.com is now nearly three years old and continues to attract more and more guests each year.
FijiBure.com wishes everybody all the best for 2006.
The generosity of our guests
The generosity of our many guests continues to astound me.
We now have over ten Fijian children being sponsored by past guests. Without this sponsorship they would have had no education.
Ingrid from Canada has set up a fund which has so far raised Au$500.
This money has been sent to the village at
Malevu to help them establish
the primary school who's initial building was funded by the Fijian Government.
The fund's importance is best demonstrated by the lack of follow up funding
from the Fijian Government to equip what is effectively a shell!
Village of the month
Our village of the month is Naroro where our host, Sirelli, is currently building more guest houses to cater for the growing number of guests who enjoy his unique historical heritage, the remarkable Tavuni Hill Fort.
