Fiji, Fiji, Fiji

It never ceases to surprise me how the media continue to get it so wrong! If you were to believe reports over the last few months you would believe that Fiji was in a state of anarchy ready to break out into another coup.

Of course this was never the case but it certainly had a negative impact on the tourism industry in that country.

Luckily FijiBure.com was not effected and are bookings are again hitting record numbers this year.

Intrepid Travel

We are now working closely with Intrepid Travel who offer guided back packer tours to Fiji which include four nights at two of our villages. Depending on when you book you might go to the villages of Namatakula or Korovisilou on the Coral Coast and Malevu or Matacawalevu in the Yasawa Islands.

So it you would like to incorporate a village homestay into a guided tour by tour professionals check out Intrepid Travel's Fiji Explorer using their trip finder in the left hand column (search on "Fiji" and Fiji Explorer under trip)

Village of the month

If you are seeking the perfect hideaway then the village of Galoa is the place for you.

Galoa is situated on a small island just off Vanua Levu and is, without doubt, the most isolated location in our village homestay business. Not even Madonna would be recognised in this community which has no television or radio. Despite these set backs the village has plenty of spirit and the most beautiful island location with the unique ability to give you stunning sun rises and sun sets over the ocean.
